"Jar Of Wishes" Birthday card :)

Hi friends!!
Hope you all are enjoying the Christmas season! :)
Well, its been more than a month since I posted anything. Actually I started making 3 cards but could not complete them, don't know why :(
But right now I have another card to show you. I managed to complete it anyhow. :)
I made this "Jar of wishes" card for a very dear friend of mine on her birthday. Here's my card.

I have reused many things here, like, you can see the tag, it was a price tag, the base of the card is a paper from bed-sheet packaging, the lid of the jar is a corrugated cardboard and it was also in the packaging. I just coloured it with grey poster colour. All the flowers are handmade without using punches. And to make the rose I used pale and deep pink chart paper to give it a natural look. I saw this tip at lovely Dr. Sonia's blog. She shares amazing tutorials on her blog :)
And yes, one more thing, I tried "faux silk technique" but it is not properly visible here. I drew the pattern on the white tissue paper using sketch colours, crumpled the paper then glued it to the base. I saw this technique first time on Pooja's blog and she made this card for Technique time tuesday as a Guest Designer. She did an amazing job using this technique. Now, have a look at some more clicks of the card. :)

Hope you will like it. :)
Thanks for stopping by!!

Love,
Ayushi :)

Birthday Explosion Box :)

Hi friends!
Today I am going to share an explosion box. Well, I've tried it for the first time and I am so happy and excited to share it with you all. I made this for a very dear friend of mine on her birthday.
Here are some pics :)

It was a bit difficult to work with not so sturdy paper. Actually I used a black chart paper as the base and as it was not stiff enough, so, I have to add one more layer of black chart paper over the base. As you know I dont have any special tools, so it took a bit more time and effort. I made the pattern paper myself ;) You can see that in the above picture.
Here are some more views of the box :)

My favorite part is the cake! :) I was not sure how to make it and did not find a tutorial. So just tried it in my own way and it was so easy to make :)

I also made a pocket in the left flap where I inserted  the birthday message.. You can see in the image below.. :)

Hope you all like it !! :)
Thanks for stopping by! And do leave your comments, I would love to hear from you! :) :)

Diwali tag

Hi friends!
Its been almost a month since I posted anything. So without further delay I am going to share a tag which I made for Diwali.

Base of the tag is an old invitation card, I colored it using pink poster color. And then I drew a pattern on it using golden sparkle pen. It was my favourite part. :)
Here are some more images.

For diyas, I used the same white colored invitation card. I drew the diyas, colored them , added some glitter and  stone and then cut them. The little flowers are also made from old invites. Sentiment is hand written.

Hope you like it!
Thanks for visiting!

My First Tag..!! :)

Hi friends!!
I am going to share my first tag today..!! Here it is..

I have used a white invitation card as the tag base. On the base I made small dots using pink pencil colour. The next layer is a pink chart paper on which I drew a swirly pattern using silver sparkle pen.

For the sentiment I cut a circle from white invitation card using scallop scissors and lightly shaded it with pink pencil colour and silver sparkle pen. Sentiment is hand written using dark pink sparkle pen.

I made the silver heart and leaves using Aluminium foil wrap. I just pasted the foil over a plain white invitation card and then cut it in the shape of heart and leaves. I have tried quilled flowers for the first time. Ain't they looking cute? :)

 Hope you all like it!!

My first Altered Box :)

Hi friends!!
Today I am going to share an altered sweet box. I spent a whole day making this. Hope you will like it. :)
So here it is..

Altered box
And here is the box that I altered..

I actually started with a paper from my notebook. I was just colouring it and saw an empty sweet box and suddenly got the idea of altering it.. :P
First I coloured the paper with 3 colours and made some swirly patterns on it with glitter pens. Then I covered the box with this paper..

And yes, the colours are inspired by my bed sheet :P
Now, the flowers, I used some old wedding invitation cards for making them.. It gives a very nice shimmery look to the flowers. All the flowers are hand cut and handmade by me. I used glitter pens to give them some more shimmer.. Here's a closer look..

I used pearls for the center of the flowers. The leaves are also hand cut. I just used the green glitter pen for the edges and to draw the veins.

Handmade flowers

I also added multi coloured Rhinestones on the box.

Handmade Flowers

I cut two semi circles from a brown invitation card using a scallop scissors. I used a golden glitter pen to draw the swirly pattern on it. Then I cut two rectangles from a golden invitation card and wrote the sentiment on it. And the little flowers are also made from the wedding invitation cards.

Here's the opened box..

And a big Thanks to lovely Dr Sonia for her leafy branch tutorial. I always struggle making the leafy branches but her tutorial made it so easy. :) :)

Diya made from broken bangles

I used broken bangles to make the Diya. It was already glittered. And the colour matched with the box perfectly. And here is a one more image with a side view. I used golden glitter on the edges here.

Really sorry for such a long post.. hehe..
Do leave your comments if you like my first altered project.. :)

Go Green with Pink Heart ;)

Hi friends!!
I made two more 3x3 Mini Note cards with handmade Envelopes. Here they are..

Mini Note cards
I loved making these mini cards as they are quite cute to work with. ;)
For the Pink one, I used some pearls, star shaped sequins and  hand-cut some paper strips and hearts. I used a plain white sheet for making the envelope and drew the hearts using pencils colors. I also wrote the sentiment with pencil color.
Here's the closer look of the Pink one..

Now the Green one..
For this mini card I drew the little flowers with dark and light green sketch pen, used some green pearls and a button for the flower in the center. Sentiment is hand written. For the envelope I used a plain white sheet and painted it with light green color, drew some flowers with colored pencil and used some sequins in the center.

That's all for now!

3x3 Mini Note card

Hi friends!!
Today I am sharing with you my first Mini Note card with a handmade envelope.

Mini Note Card with Handmade Envelope

Actually both the card and the envelope didn't turn out the way I wanted. I had something different in my mind. :(
Anyways, here's a closer look of the card..

Handmade Mini Notecard
I used an old brown colored invitation card as card base. I also used it in making the flowers. The flowers are hand-drawn and handcut. I used sketch pens to make the dots pattern.

Handmade Envelope
I used a plain white paper to make the envelope. And then colored it using the sketch pens. The flowers and butterflies are handcut. And for the sentiment I used a strip of vellum paper and wrote and the sentiment.
I think the card is not that bad. hehe ;)

Happy Anniversary Maa and Papa!! :)

Hi friends!
Yesterday was my Maa and Papa's 25th Wedding Anniversary.. So I tried to make something special for them. Instead of  making a handmade card I tried something new this time. So here it is..

Anniversary gift
I cant forget the moment when I gave this to my parents.. They were so happy.. :) :)
For making this I used card board pieces, cut them in desired shapes, painted them and also drew some swirly pattern.

Handmade photo frame-cum-wall hanging
I used a cello tape roll as photo frame, painted it and applied some glitter over it.

Handmade flowers
All the flowers are handmade by me without using punches. For the little flowers around the photo, I used simple drawing sheets, painted them and then hand cut them using craft scissors into thin strips and then rolled them. Rose is also handmade.

I used popsicle sticks and paper strips for making the fence.

Hand written sentiment
I also used some golden metal wires and thermocol balls.
